Where Are Your Feet Going? - Psalm 1:1 (NKJV)

Scripture of the Day
Psalm 1:1 (NKJV)
“Where Are Your Feet Going?”

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful
----------------------------------------------
As I meditate on this verse, I realize that the man’s feet determines where he is physically going.  It is with his feet that he walks in the counsel of the ungodly.  It is with his feet that he stands in the path of sinners.  It is with his feet that he comes to a seat of the scornful.  Where ever the man’s feet take him is where he is seen.  This verse is telling us where we should not be seen.  More importantly, this verse is telling us where we should not let our feet take us.  Don’t let your feet take you anywhere that would grieve the heart of GOD! I don’t see this verse as being a metaphor.  This is literal!  See your mind can mentally say “go”, but it is not until your feet take you there that you are physically seen!

In today’s media, it is too easy to find yourself on the internet, on the front cover of a newspapers, etc.  It could be pictures or video, but in either case, it shows where your feet have taken you.  Don’t let your feet take you to the wrong place.  Instead we should be like the man who delight is in the law of the LORD, and in HIS law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper. (v. 2-3) Get up from the seat of the scornful and stand alongside a sinner as you walk in the counsel of the Godly!  That’s where GOD wants our feet to go, and that is where HE wants us to be seen.  The question is, “Where are your feet going in the cloak of darkness?”  “Where are your feet going on Friday & Saturday night?” “Where are your feet going when you think no one is looking?”

When is the last time your feet were planted before GOD to worship in spirit and truth?  GOD has a place for us . . . by the guidance of Holy Spirit, please let your feet take you there!  GOD says, “Come to Me”, JESUS says, “This is The Way”, and Holy Spirit says, “I Will take you there” . . . and I say, “get to stepping”  of course I say it with love.

Good Morning & Amen,

Psalm 1:1 (NKJV)
"Where Are Your Feet Going?"

Now that's a great question..."Where Are Your Feet Going?" Our feet are the physical mechanism that supports human travel...however, we know that it's a man's mind and a man's heart that truly directs his feet.

After reading Psalm 1, I realized that while it's a short chapter it gives us wisdom for a life-long journey...a journey that's liken unto a marathon race. I don't know if you have ever experienced the agony of running a 26.2 mile marathon...but I can tell you firsthand...running a marathon is not an easy journey...and I when I read Psalm 1 I believe provides us with the wisdom we need to finish this Christian race much more successfully.

When I reflect back many years ago...maybe in the mid 1980's...I was training for my first 26.2 mile marathon race, I can still remember training with a very good friend of mine....and as I recall, he would always start our run this rather fast paste...but then, each and every training run he would always end up faltering; he could never finish run strong...so, in my mind, he lacked wisdom.

Likewise, our earthly journey is not promised to be an easy journey for us Christians. So, I believe the wisdom of Psalm 1 will help us to maintain a steady pace...so that we don't start out too fast...only to falter at the end. To finish strong, we need Godly wisdom. How we choose to run this marathon race which is our Christian journey matters indeed...it matters where our feet takes us...and it matters how we will finish the race!!!

If we allow the Spirit of the Lord to direct our feet and to direct our paths... Godly wisdom will keep us from faltering and we will finish the race strong in the Lord...and will not walk in the counsel of the ungodly...nor stand in the path of sinners...nor sit in the seat of the scornful!!!

Brother Marvin, you told us to "get to stepping"...so in our stepping...we must place on foot ahead of the other...but in doing so, let us not be weary of doing the will of God...let us always seek after the Godly counsel and Godly wisdom of His Holy Word.

Godly wisdom tells us that our Christian journey will not be a short sprint... instead a very long and drooling marathon. Therefore my brothers and my sisters, let us run this race steadfastly in the Lord...maintaining a steady and deliberate paste...always trusting in the Lord to direct our steps.

So, may we may stray not to the left or to the right...for the way to destruction is wide...but His way is the narrow way!!!

Finally, the question asked by today's SOD is this..."Where Are Your Feet Going?"
I pray, the answer is that we all will run this amazing Christian journey with our eyes stayed on the prize...and that we're always heavenly bound...Amen.

All Praise And Glory Unto Our God In Heaven, Amen
