Scripture of the Day
1 Peter 3:3-4 (NKJV)
“What’s In Your Heart For GOD”
Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel — rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.
--------------------------------------------------------------
I did a search of the King James translation of the bible and found that the word “heart” appears 762 times. That is a huge account of the heart. Today, I truly understand what the writer was saying when he said, “I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.” (Psalm 119:10-11). I don’t know about any of you, but this is where I am today! No matter what your outer appearance is, GOD is looking past that. No matter what your financial situation is today, GOD is looking past that. No matter where you are in your daily relationships, GOD is looking past that. HIS Word tells us in 1 Samuel 16:7 that the LORD does not look at the appearance or physical stature of a person, but HE looks at the heart! What will GOD see when HE looks into your heart today? As we continue to focus on What’s In It For GOD, ask yourself, what will HE see when HE looks into your heart! Prayerfully HE will see the beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, for this is precious in HIS sight!
P.S. Let every room of your heart be available to GOD. Invite HIM into the darkest, most embarrassing places of your heart, and HE will bring peace and joy!
Love Sincerely

GM Brother....that was truly beautiful...your heart shines through...as from the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks...I felt those words were genuinely from your heart, and if only His people would know that there's no other way but to please God....except that there be a genuine LOVE for Him in our hearts. And you so elegantly explained how we mere humans sometimes confuse what we see with the naked eye as genuine...but we can't hide from our God. If we truly LOVE Him, we will hunger to please Him...yes, we all fall short of His Glory...nevertheless, our desire must always be that...our outward appearances be a true reflection of an inward condition!!!
All Praise And Glory Unto Our God In Heaven,
So, my brother how is the new Job?
And how are you doing in finding a new Church home?
Know that I am in prayer for you and your family...
We truly serve a MIGHTY God, none other can we turn to with such a LOVING KINDNESS...slow to anger...and filled with endless GRACE & MERCY!!!
No, not one! No, not one!
BTW: You sparked my interest, so I searched and found out that the word "Love" in the KJV appears 610 times...so LOVE + HEART= 1472 TIMES!!! WOW...that speaks volumes!!!
Good to see you are back online my brother! I didn't know what was going on, but I have been praying for you. I missed the SODs, however, it made me go into his word and continue to study. After each devotion, I would think to myself, "What would the SOD say about this?" Again, it's good to see you back online and I pray that all is well with you and your family.
Good morning Bro. Compton:
I trust all is well! Some men/women would judge a person by their outer appearance always assuming that their looks was an indication of their personality. Well... I'm sure a lot of them got a rude awakening. Yes, some beautiful people have personality plus, and some have ugly personalities. However, I've always looked at the person's heart, and the way they treated me. Their looks was not important, but their heart was important to me. Remember the saying that "you can't judge a book by its cover." Well that is still true to this day.
God created all of us and we're all beautiful in His eyes. But it is IMPORTANT what's in our hearts, and God know that as well.
Thanks for that timely message.
Bless you,
Cyndi
Mr. E.W,
I have been able to share with you how my past few weeks have been and you made a very good point when you said "If we truly LOVE Him, we will hunger to please Him...yes, we all fall short of His Glory...nevertheless, our desire must always be that...our outward appearances be a true reflection of an inward condition!!!"
Let us continue to love HIM with all our soul and heart!
KB,
It is good to be back online to share and hear from others. It is also good to know that you stayed in the Word. I pray that those around you see your mature heart for GOD, and not focus on the youth of your days! Be blessed this day!
Ms. Cyndi,
Praise GOD! I truly hope folks can see the kindness of my heart long before they hear my voice or see my face! As for you, your heart is heard in your laughter and smile! May you and your family live in the blessings of the
LORD!
