Hear, Listen And Do - James 1:22 (NIV)

Scripture of the Day
James 1:22 (NIV)
“Hear, Listen And Do”

Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.

---------------------------------------------------

James is telling us that we cannot simply hear the word and expect a result of change . . . we must do what the word says!  When parents give their child instruction, the child usually respond (verbal/nonverbal) with, “I heard you the first time!”.  Yet they have done nothing. But you find yourself telling them again, and again!  Many times, GOD is doing the same thing with us.  HIS word tells us what we are suppose to do, and we say we heard, but HE has to continue telling us the same thing, because we still haven't done it.

The definition of “Listen” is to concentrate, pay attention, or take heed.  Many times parents can see that their child is only hearing, but not listening.  So when the parent ask the child “What did I say?”  That child is not able to give a proper response, because they did not listen.  GOD wants us to hear, listen and do what HIS word says.  Hearing keeps us aware and alert.  Listening allows us to process what needs to be done.  When you hear a loud boom . . . your listening will process what has been heard . . . and you will do what is necessary to take cover and find safety!  If you hear a small puppy barking . . . your listening will process what has been heard . . . and most of us would not take cover, nor would we think there is any danger.  If we hear the promises of GOD . . . our listening should be able to process . . . and do what the LORD requires of us!  If we hear the consequences of sin . . . our listening should process what the LORD requires of us . . . which is repentance!

We cannot just hear GOD’s Word!  And we should not hear HIS Word and then do without listening first!  We are suppose to be quick to listen!  A lot of mistakes have been made because of “Not listening”  This is why I always say, “Don’t try to read GOD’s Word when you are angry in sin, because you will hear the wrong thing, and you won’t listen to anything”  GOD will speak . . . are you listening?

Love Sincerely

In The Midnight Our - Acts 16:25-26 (NKJV)

Scripture of the Day
Acts 16:25-26 (NKJV)
“In The Midnight Our”

But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to GOD, and the prisoners were listening to them.  Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed.

------------------------------------------------------------------

As I was meditating on these scriptures I began to feel an overwhelming excitement!  In the walls of the prison . . . behind the bars of the inner jail cell . . . Paul and Silas had a revival!  Even while behind the prison bars without a key . . . they began to sing in key and harmony!  How confusing that must have been to the enemy!  These two men were in physical bondage, yet they were spiritually free.  In fact, their freedom, was the key to others being set free!  Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to GOD . . . in the midnight!

Here is the excitement!  When we are in bondage . . . the flesh wants to have a pity-party!  The flesh in us wants to blame someone, especially if we didn’t do anything wrong!  Sometimes the flesh wants revenge!  But instead of Paul and Silas curling up in the corners of the jail cell.  Instead of crying out “Why me LORD!”  They were praying and crying out hymns to GOD, and everyone’s chains were loosed.  Now that is a revival worth calling “Setting the Captives Free!”  The beautiful thing is . . . we all have that same gift.  In the midnight, our voices should ring out with prayers and hymns!  Because in the midnight, our GOD is still listening!  And in the midnight, our chains will be loosed!

Have A Blessed Weekend!

Super Athlete - 2 Timothy 4:7-8 (NIV)

Scripture of the Day
2 Timothy 4:7-8 (NIV)
“Super Athlete”

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.  Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
-----------------------------------------------------------

Paul refers to our Christian path as a race that we must endure.  Not to take anything away from our runners, but it is unclear if running is a sport.  Don’t get me wrong . . . runners are tremendous athletes, but I don’t know if running is a sport.  More specific . . . I don’t think running is a game.  It is more of a competition!  As I watch the NBA Playoffs, I see each individuals trying to score as many points, assist, or rebounds as they can to win the game.  Even if an NBA player is trying to achieve their all time best . . . it is to win the game.  I don’t think any of them would like to win the most valuable player every year, but never win a championship!  But a runner is an athlete without a game!  Their focus is to complete the race.  Notice, Paul doesn’t talk about being a sprinter . . . he tells us to run a good race!  Runners don’t run 6 of the 25 miles and consider it complete.  Even if it takes the runner the entire day, the goal is to cross the finish line . . . not to win a game!  Those who manage to crawl across the finish line are champions who need not to be ashamed, because they have finished with faith!

GOD’s Word tells us that “Anyone who trust in him will never be put to shame.” (Romans 10:11) We may not be the first to cross the finish line, but if we believe in our heart, and confess with our mouths . . . we will never be shamed.  Even if we have to finish on our hands and knees . . . praying the entire way!

When it comes to who the greatest Athlete of all times!  I think about the one who completed the hardest race . . . and finished with tremendous faith! He endured the pain in his feet and the piercing in his side!  He literally poured out his blood and sweat!  He was focused on the ultimate prize, that we can receive as a gift!  Without a doubt, the Super Athlete of all the heavens and earth . . . for ever and ever . . . is JESUS!

I Will Go - Genesis 24:55-58 (NKJV)

Scripture of the Day
Genesis 24:55-58 (NKJV)
“I Will Go”

But her brother and her mother said, “Let the young woman stay with us a few days, at least ten; after that she may go.” And he said to them, “Do not hinder me, since the LORD has prospered my way; send me away so that I may go to my master.” So they said, “We will call the young woman and ask her personally.” Then they called Rebekah and said to her, “Will you go with this man?” And she said, “I will go.”
--------------------------------------
The oldest servant of Abraham made a covenant with his master that he would find his son, Isaac, a wife.  GOD lead the servant to the exact place of where he would find Isaac’s bride.  However, Rebekah did not know it was her.  Yet she was found!  The time came to where the servant of Abraham stated his purpose for being there (even before he would eat).  When the time came for Rebekah to follow the servant . . . her family asked if she could stay!  But the servant, reminded them that the time had come for her to follow, but they were asking for at least ten days.  Then, the question was given to Rebekah herself, and her answer to the servant was, “I will go.”

JESUS is the Servant of the Master who has come for the bride!  When JESUS came, HE stated HIS purpose.  Although family members may not want you to follow the Servant of the LORD, the question is given to you, and HE is waiting on your answer!  I pray that your answer will be, “I Will Go!”  Don’t let anyone or anything hold you back from following the Servant of the LORD!  In fact, let this day be your first step with JESUS!

All Brain; No Power - John 3:7-10 (NKJV)

Scripture of the Day
John 3:7-10 (NKJV)
“All Brain; No Power”

Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.” Nicodemus answered and said to Him, “How can these things be?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things?

----------------------------------------------------------

JESUS is speaking to Nicodemus, a Pharisee and a ruler of the Jews.  As JESUS is explaining the second birth (vs. 3-6), Nicodemus becomes confused.  Not because the LORD was using words that were unknown, but because JESUS was speaking in the Spirit, and Nicodemus was listen with his brain!  With all that knowledge, Nicodemus was not able to understand those things that JESUS was speaking about, because he could not hear the Spirit.

I can imagine how Nicodemus was trying to picture someone climbing back into their mother’s womb to be born again.  That didn’t make sense to him.  I must honestly say, that about 15 years ago, I was thinking the same thing . . .  The only way to have the spirit is to be born again!  I knew I was a Christian, and I knew I had be baptized, but where was the Spirit?  Maybe it was just a metaphor!  It was never explained to me at an early age, so I assumed it was just something to say . . . “I’ve been born again!”   It wasn’t until I started to listen with the power of the Holy Spirit that I began to understand by the Spirit, when JESUS said, “That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Sprit is spirit.”  By accepting JESUS, I was born again in the Spirit.  I was literally made new . . . again!  My speech was different!  Honestly, I noticed my appearance had changes too!  I know it may seem simple to many, but when you have more brain (knowledge), than power (Spirit) . . . it may take a life time to understand!  Turn down the brain, so that you can hear the Spirit clearly!

Scripture of the Day
John 19:16-18; 23; 33-34
“At The Foot Of The Cross”

16 Finally Pilate handed him over to them to be crucified. So the soldiers took charge of Jesus. 17 Carrying his own cross, he went out to the place of the Skull (which in Aramaic is called Golgotha). 18 Here they crucified him, and with him two others—one on each side and Jesus in the middle.

23 When the soldiers crucified Jesus, they took his clothes, dividing them into four shares, one for each of them, with the undergarment remaining. This garment was seamless, woven in one piece from top to bottom.

33 But when they came to Jesus and found that he was already dead, they did not break his legs. 34 Instead, one of the soldiers pierced Jesus’ side with a spear, bringing a sudden flow of blood and water.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Yesterday, I was listening to a song on the way to work, and it was saying all of the things that are at the foot of the cross!  The song said there was joy, peace, healing, and it went on and on about what is at the foot of the cross.  This got me to thinking, “How is this biblically correct?”  Not legalistic or logical, but biblical!  I know that the cross was used for crucifixion!  It was to bring agony on the person found guilty, but that wasn’t so with JESUS!  HE was not found guilty, yet HE was still crucified . . . on the cross!

JESUS carried HIS own cross to HIS place of death!  The soldiers who crucified JESUS were at the foot of the cross, and they were dividing up HIS clothes, while HE hung there!  After JESUS had given up HIS Spirit and died, the soldier pierced HIM in the side, bringing a sudden flow of blood and water . . . that was at the foot of the cross!  The cross was used for crucifixions . . . and JESUS, who was without blame WAS on the cross!

JESUS is not on the cross now!  When I look at the cross, it is to remind me of what HE did and that HE is no longer there!  HE is not in the tomb either!  JESUS is back in HIS rightful place!  We should not sit at the foot of the cross looking for joy, peace, healing, happiness, etc! Trust me!  HIS work is done there . . . HE is not going to get back up on the cross, and HE is not going to go lay back down in the grave!  But HE will forever be at the right hand of the FATHER!  If you want joy, peace, healing, etc.,  Look to the place which cometh our help!  Maybe I was misunderstanding the song, or whenever people say, “Go to the cross for what you want!”  I’m sure that is not what Mary (mother of JESUS), HIS mother’s sister (also Mary), Mary Magdalene, nor the disciple whom HE loved were thinking when they were standing at the foot of the cross!

Seating Chart - Luke 14:8-10 (NIV)

Scripture of the Day
Luke 14:8-10 (NIV)
“Seating Chart”

“When someone invites you to a wedding feast, do not take the place of honor, for a person more distinguished than you may have been invited.  If so, the host invited both of you will come and say to you, “Give this man your seat.”  Then, humiliated, you will have to take the least important place.  But when you are invited, take the lowest place, so that when your host comes, he will say to you, “Friend, move up to a better place.”  Then you will be honored in the presence of all your fellow guests.
------------------------------------------------
In life we want to be at the very top, as if being in a lower position is negative!  Think of the seating chart at a professional sporting event!  There are the seats at the very top!  That’s where most of us live!  We can only afford the top seats (nose bleed section).  We are at the very top, yet it is hard to see what is going on!  In fact, some of us will complain about being on the top!  Then there are those seats all the way down at the bottom.  No one can just go down to the bottom and pick their own seat.  These court-side seats are assigned.  Now, court-side seats will put you all the way at the bottom . . . where all the action is happening!  It’s a possibility that you may get hurt if the action falls into your seat, but you don’t mind . . . you paid extra for that!  Now . . . if someone came all the way to the nose bleed section and offered you a seat down at the very bottom . . . would you decline the court-side seat and say, “No thank you, I will stay up here” or would you accept . . . and go down where all the action is!  Trust me . . . if you say no, your friend will accept the place of honor!

With GOD, some of the lowest points in our lives . . . places us at the very top!  And sometimes at our highest points in life . . . we find ourselves at our lowest!  When you think you should be seated in the place of honor . . . wait for GOD to show you the seating chart!  Anytime I attend a meeting, I always take a seat up against the wall, until invited to the table!  Remember, when the host invites you in . . . you are welcomed!

Asking With Confidence - 1 John 5:14-15 (NIV)

Scripture of the Day
1 John 5:14-15 (NIV)
“Asking With Confidence”

This is the confidence we have in approaching GOD: that if we ask anything according to HIS will, HE hears us.  And if we know that HE hears us – whatever we ask – we know that we have what we asked of HIM.
------------------------------------------------------------------

Before I asked my wife out on our first date, I had to build up my confidence.  I didn’t want to say anything inappropriate, so I actually listened to her during previous conversations to get an idea of some of the things she was interested in!  So of course, when I knew she loved to eat . . . I knew I had a better shot of her saying yes if I took that approach!  I wanted to be with her and she wanted to eat (I am going to get in trouble for this one!).  Of course she said yes, and believe it or not . . . she picked a buffet . . . to be considerate of my financial position . . . and she paid for her own meal!  This was awesome, because it showed me that she was not trying to get a free meal out of me, but she actually wanted to spend time with me!

When I ask GOD for something with confidence, it is because, I take the time to listen to HIM in HIS Word!  When I see what HE has for me (HIS will), I know that I have a better chance of receiving it!  Just as sure as when I ask in the flesh . . . I know that HE will not honor it.  And when I ask for something so that I can be in HIS presence and HE takes care of all my needs . . . and wants . . . I know that GOD actually wants a relationship with me . . . and you!  So have confidence in your prayer request, as you ask in accordance to HIS will . . . and HE will hear you!

Know That You Are Blessed!

Jeremiah 17:14 (NKJV)
“Our Doctor On High”

Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; Save me, and I shall be saved, For YOU are my praise.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
What do you think would happen if you walked into your family doctor’s office for an annual check-up . . . looked them in the eyes and said, “Doctor!  If you heal me . . . I will be healed!”  I’m sure the first thing your doctor would say, even after years of seeing you, would be, “What’s wrong with you?”  The doctor would be more concerned at this point with your mental condition verses your physical condition.  That would be too much to expect from your family doctor.  The doctor would have to run a series of test to determine what is wrong, before they can begin to guess how to fix/cure you!

But our Doctor on High already knows what is wrong before we come to HIS throne of grace!  The test have already been ran and the cure has already been identified!  Therefore when we go to HIM and say, “Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed”, we are not only asking GOD to heal us, but we are acknowledging that HE is the one who can heal!  HE is the one who can save!

We don’t walk up to the police officer in the middle of a gun fight and say, “If you save me, then I shall be saved!”, but with GOD, salvation is our refuge!!!

Be Blessed In HIS Day!

Scripture of the Day
James 3:4-5 (NKJV)
“Who Is In The Driver’s Seat”

Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires.  Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you can picture the big ships with the large sails that were driven by the powerful winds are turned by a small rudder.  Think about an aircraft that is driven by large engines is also turned by a rudder!  Now think about us, with our driven desire, can be turned in a direction by our tongue!  A lot of times it’s the mouth that get’s folks in trouble!  Lots of wars are started because of what people are saying!

Who is in the driver’s seat!  Lots of times we are in the driver’s seat and we ask GOD to ride along . . . you know . . . to keep us out of trouble!  We want GOD to tell us what we said was wrong, but we don’t want HIM to keep us from saying what is wrong!  However, if we allow GOD to be in the driver’s seat . . . then we can’t go wrong!  HE will always take us in the right direction!  We will always speak with a spirit filled tongue, ready to turn in the right direction.  Listen, you have been driving long enough . . . it’s time to give GOD back the keys to your life and let HIM back in the driver’s seat!

Love Sincerely!

Forgiving - Ephesians 4:32 (KJV)

Scripture of the Day
Ephesians 4:32 (KJV)
“Forgiving”

“And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as GOD for CHRIST’s sake hath forgiven you.”

--------------------------------------------------------

Forgiving is a hard action!  Yes . . . it is an action . . . not a feeling!  Many times we don’t feel like taking the action of forgiving, but we are told to forgive.  When not careful, we can take on the attitude of “Let them suffer for what they did!”  I mean, some things have been done to us that does not deserve forgiveness . . . no matter how many times they apologize . . . right! Let them beg!  And then when we are feeling better about ourselves . . . maybe . . . we will forgive them, for a little while!  We put them on a “Forgiveness probation!”, because as soon as they mess up again . . . that’s it!  No more forgiveness!

Well!  Who are we that GOD should take the action of forgiving!  What if GOD took on the attitude of “Let them suffer for what they did!”  Even when we know not what we have done!  I know for a fact that I have done things towards GOD that do not deserve forgiveness.  And all of us can honestly say that we have apologized to the LORD . . . even begged for HIS forgiveness, yet find ourselves messing up again!  Can you imagine if we fell in and out of GOD’s forgiveness!  But glory be to GOD that for CHRIST’s sake we have been forgiven!  Therefore, we must also take the action of forgiving one to another!

Trust me . . . Forgiving is good medicine to the soul!

“For Gave”

Then said JESUS, FATHER, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted HIS raiment, and cast lots.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Family,

Some of us may have heard the phrase, “JESUS was born to die!” But that was not the only reason HE was born! Nor is it the only reason you and me were born. Of course ever person who is born will die . . . but JESUS didn’t have to . . . HE decided to! Long before HIS birth into this world JESUS forgave us! In fact, JESUS for gave HIS life before HE was born of the womb! Before you and me even knew we were going to be born to die . . . JESUS for gave of HIS life as a ransom to those of us who were not even a twinkle in our parents eyes! JESUS was not just born to die! HE for gave HIS life to death so that we may have Salvation! HE was born to show us how to forgive and yes . . . we must also be willing to for gave of ourselves too!

We must be willing to walk a Christian life for others who are still apart from GOD . . . without CHRIST!  Be a light on top for all to see the goodness of GOD's mercy and grace!  The reason we can be for sure this is what JESUS wants from us, is because HE showed us as HE was born to live . . . then die for our sins!

Amen!  Thank YOU JESUS!

Acts 3:6-9 (NIV)
“Enter Beauty”

Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you.  In the name of JESUS CHRIST of Nazareth, walk.”  Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong.  He jumped to his feet and began to walk.  Then he went with them into the temple courts, walking and jumping, and praising GOD.  When all the people saw him walking and praising GOD, they recognized him as the same man who used to sit begging at the temple gate called Beautiful, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.

------------------------------------------------------

The crippled man was brought to the gate called Beautiful every day and left there to beg for money.  When Peter and John walk by on their way to pray, the man asked them for money!  First, let’s acknowledge that sometimes your life is interrupted so that you can stop and bless someone!  Many times we will be so focused on going to pray for someone that we miss the opportunity to stop and bless someone!  Peter stopped and told the man that I don’t have silver or gold, but what I have I give you!  Peter had something greater than the wealth of silver and gold . . . he had the love of JESUS CHRIST in him!  With the authority of JESUS name, he told the crippled man to walk! When the crippled man accepted, he entered into a beautiful place! When we accept JESUS, we enter beauty!  We gain an inner beauty that is worth more than all the silver and gold in the world.  There are a lot of outwardly beautiful people . . . but those who enter beauty like this man . . . are recognized by all!

Make-up, workout sessions, surgery, etc. will give a temporary beauty on the outside, but walking, jumping and praising GOD will give you an everlasting inner beauty!  Give HIM your hand and Enter Beauty with JESUS as your Savior and Lord!

"HE's Got Your Back"

No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life.  As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.

-------------------------------------------------------

After the death of Moses, GOD told Joshua that he would be taking the Israelites into the promise land!  GOD was letting Joshua know that HE had his back!  Most of us can relate to, "HE didn't bring us this far to leave us!"  GOD doesn't just bring you to the outside of victory!  GOD is with us before we walk into battle!  HE is a shield during the battle!  And HE is the banner after the battle!  This is what the LORD is telling us when HE says "NO one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life.  HE's Got Your Back for life!

So remember, even when the times get rough, finances get tight, and loneliness seems to be your only company . . . GOD said that HE will never leave us nor forsake us!  Do you believe that GOD has got your back . . . for life?  If so . . . live like it!

"Happy Mother's Day Blessing"

Her children rise up and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praises her.

---------------------------------------------

This is to every child and husband!  I know we will buy cards, flowers, and gifts!  We will take them out to eat and tend to their every need on mother's day, as if the 8th of May is the only day they deserve to be treated as a blessed woman of GOD! I for one have never called my mother blessed!  I feel it and I know that she is blessed, but never have I actually shared those words with her!  This mother's day, start speaking blessings to your mother!  Tell her she is blessed and let her know she is loved by you and the almighty GOD!

Husbands!  We have to train and encourage our children to be a blessing . . . share a blessing . . . and speak a blessing in their mother's life!  Don't just whisper sweet things in her ear, but speak praises of her in the streets!  When have you told your friend that you are in love with the mother of your children!  When have you told her that you love the mother of your children!

Mother's are special . . .  every day!

“Working For Each Other”

For GOD is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward HIS name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

--------------------------------------------------------

I will always say this, because I have lived it!  Whenever you feel like you are at your lowest . . . serve (work for) others in the LORD!  You will be surprised at what other saints are going through . . . without complaining!  There have been times when I thought GOD had forgotten about me, and the Spirit would tell me to go serve others.  Someone who seems to be worse off than me would give their testimony and end it with something like, “But don’t feel sorry for me, because the LORD is on my side!”  When you can see the faith that they have through it all . . . it is an awesome encouragement! That is when my heart sings out "How Great Is Our GOD!"  Now I find myself excited to serve (work) for others!  Each time the Spirit tells me to put myself out there for others, I end up being blessed by those very folks!!

Let us work, serve, and pray for each other!  Not because we can, but because we love!!!!!

Scripture of the Day
John 6:26 - 28 (NIV)
“Will Work For Food”

JESUS answered, “I tell you the truth, you are looking for ME, not because you saw miraculous signs but because you ate the loaves and had your fill.  Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you.  On HIM GOD the FATHER has placed his seal of approval.”

---------------------------------------------------

Man does not live on bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the LORD (Deuteronomy 8:3).  You can be surrounded by the plush fruits and fattest calves, and still starve to death!  Oh sure! Your belly will be filled with meat, but your soul will be starving for JESUS!  If we feed the flesh, then we grow in the flesh!  But if we feed the spirit, then we grow in the spirit!  Spiritually, we must work for food!  We must eat from The Bread of Life . . . the Fruit of the Spirit!  This is the food that endures eternal life.  Our souls cannot feed off of McDonalds!  We can eat the healthiest foods to keep our bodies strong, but we must feed off of every word that proceeds from the mouth of the LORD to keep our spiritual life growing!    For HE satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with goodness. (Psalm 107:9)

Work Ethic

Scripture of the Day
Proverbs 14:23 (NIV)
“Work Ethic”

All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty.
----------------------------------------------
My grandfather taught me the value of a dollar through hard work!  He truly taught me “A day’s wages for a day’s work”  He was a very hard working man, and he expected the same from anyone who worked for him.  I didn’t get paid a lot, but it put money in the pocket!  Because it took a lot to get the work done, I didn’t easily depart with my money!  In most cases, quick money means quick spending!  But a person who has worked hard for their money is not easily separated from their money!  But the dollar amount is not the profit . . . it’s the knowledge gain by hard work that brings profit!

Some may expect GOD’s Word to come easy . . . but if that was the case, who would spend time with HIS Word!  It may take you a few times to study and meditate on HIS WORD, but in the end . . . the hard work will bring a profit and a wealth of knowledge!  Our work ethic as Christians should reflect the work ethics of our Savior!  And we can all testify that HIS hard work paid off in the end!  In fact, HIS work ethic paid off all of our debts of sin!

Scripture of the Day
Matthew 9:36-38 (NIV)
"Plenty Of Work"

When HE saw the crowds, HE had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.  Then HE said to HIS disciples, "The harvest is plenty but the workers are few.  Ask the LORD of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into HIS harvest field."

As JESUS looked out into the crowd, HE saw those who were harassed and helpless.  HE saw a flock of sheep without a shepherd.  JESUS was looking at the harvest of souls that would need to be nurtured, healed, and encouraged!  Then HE told HIS disciples that there is more harvest than workers!  Through spiritual eyes JESUS saw there was plenty of work to be done!

We all have plenty of work to do in our day!  Our homes, jobs, community service, etc.  How much of that work is being  done through spiritual eyes?  How much of our work is being done to nurture, heal and encourage the harvest of souls that are lost without a shepherd?  We can't think that what we do inside the four walls of a church building is enough work for the kingdom!  There is plenty of work . . . right where you are standing now . . . just look around with the same heart (spiritual eyes) like JESUS.

Just remember, there is plenty of work for the kingdom, but it is by salvation that you are saved!

Scripture of the Day
Hebrews 3:12-13 (KJV)
"Daily Encouragement Delivery"

Take heed, bretheren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living GOD.  But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

There is a new word of encouragement for each of us . . . every day!  GOD's Word will reveal something new and wonderful to us Today!  It is just a matter of us listening!  When you least expect it, GOD will send a word of encouragement through a young child!  But we miss the message because we overlook the package!  Sometimes GOD will send a powerful word of encouragement through an elder, but we miss the message because we think it's out-dated!  GOD's Word of encouragement is packaged in many ways.  Don't think GOD's Word of encouragement can only come from a preacher with diplomas all over the wall and a huge executive desk!  Sometimes you will be amazed at how big packages have very small messages inside!

When we encourage one another daily, it truly helps all of us guard our testimonies and strengthen our faith.  Let us continue to pray for one another, fellowship with one another and be encouraged by one another!

Amen!
