And the king said, “Divide the living child in two, and give half to one, and half to the other.” Then the woman whose son was living spoke to the king, for she yearned with compassion for her son; and she said, “O my lord, give her the living child, and by no means kill him!” but the other said, “Let him be neither mine nor yours, but divide him.” So the king answered and said, “Give the first woman the living child, and by no means kill him; she is his mother.”

The tenth commandment (Exodus 20:17), tells us not to covet. The definition of covet is: to desire wrongfully, inordinately, or without due regard for the rights of others. In most cases, just as this woman did, we covet when there is something missing from our own lives. When we lose what was dear to us, we initially began to look for someone who has what we want, and our hearts will covet what they have. The woman in the wrong was willing to see the baby killed, just to keep the other woman from having her own child! She had an attitude of “If I can’t have him; no one can have him” We see this type of attitude today! People will try to destroy someone else’s relationship, because they can’t have one of their own! Just know that what GOD has for you is yours! Stop spending precious time trying to take what is others, and focus on what GOD has for you! Understand . . . there is a difference between admiring and coveting! Admiring will edify others and coveting will attempt to destroy others!

What you said about some people not having a relationship, desiring or being
willing to destroy or compromise someone else's is so true. As Christian
married men, we need to recognize women that disrespect our relationship with
our wife and/or their husband, for what they are; and pray about any feelings of
"turn-on, temptation, or whatever that may arise from such attention.
I would also add that coveting will destroy the person who is coveting! I would also add that coveting is often the beginning of other sin, i.e. stealing, adultery, etc.
Very POWERFULL!!! Thanks for this one bro
